When Shmuel Adler’s mother, Amber Adler, was denied the ability to place ad’s with her photo in them in ultra-Orthodox newspapers, during her campaign for New York City council, the family knew they couldn’t change the system overnight so they decided to find a way to work around the restriction by creating ads that featured Shmuel (age 9) and Yaakov (age 7), campaigning on their mother’s behalf.
Their efforts which included a large print and moving billboard campaign, went viral and were featured in publications around the globe, including Politico, The New York Times, The Jerusalem Post and more.
